WHAT IF Cafe คือ “food and decor cafe” ที่ถูกออกแบบโดยดีไซน์สตูดิโอ Studiomixo ที่เป็นเหมือนโชว์รูมสำหรับสินค้า handmade ต่างๆจากฝีมือของเหล่าครีเอทีฟคนไทย รวมทั้งยังเป็นคาเฟ่สุดชิคที่พร้อมเสิร์ฟกาแฟและอาหารอีกด้วย ร้านนี้จะเปิดตั้งแต่แปดโมงเช้าจนถึงสี่ทุ่ม โดยมีเมนูอาหารหลากหลาย selection ให้พวกเราได้เลือกทาน ไม่ว่าจะเป็นเมนูอาหารเช้าแบบ western style breakfast ไปจนถึงเมนูอาหารกลางวันและอาหารเย็นแบบสไตล์ bistro พร้อมกับไวน์รสดี

ส่วนการตกแต่งร้านนั้น เป็นฝีมือของ Vudi หนึ่งในผู้ก่อตั้ง Made by Legacy ตลาดนัดขายของวินเทจชื่อดัง ร่วมด้วยงานศิลปะของนักวาดภาพ illustrator หญิงมากฝีมืออย่าง Pomme Chan ที่มีให้เห็นในหลากหลายรูปแบบไม่ว่าจะบนหมอนไปจนถึงถ้วยจานชาม นอกจากนี้ในร้านยังมีคอลเลคชั่นแผ่นเสียงไวนิลจาก Bangkok Recorder ไม้บรรทัดทำจากไม้สไตล์เก่าและกล่องไม้ขนาดเล็กจาก Carpenter และผ้ากันเปื้อนสไตล์วินเทจจาก Made By Anan เรียกได้ว่าร้านนี้เต็มเปี่ยมไปด้วยไปด้วยบรรยากาศและของใช้สไตล์วินเทจ น่าจะเป็นที่ถูกใจของใครหลายๆคนได้ไม่ยาก

สำหรับรสชาติของอาหารและกาแฟก็อร่อยเกินคาด พนักงานก็มีความเอาใจใส่ในขอบเขตที่พอดีแถมพูดภาษาอังกฤษได้ดีอีกต่างหาก นอกจากนี้แต่ละคนยังมีความรู้เกี่ยวกับเมนูอาหารจริงๆซึ่งหาเจอได้น้อยในเมืองกรุงเทพฯ พอดีวันนั้นที่ไปที่ร้านตรงกับวันที่พนักงานแต่ละคนกำลังมี wine tasting พอดีเพื่อให้แต่ละคนมีความ up-to-date เกี่ยวกับไวน์ selection ต่างๆว่าไวน์อันไหนควรเอามาเสิร์ฟคู่กับจานไหน ทำให้เห็นว่าร้านนี้เขาเอาใจใส่กับการพัฒนาความรู้ของพนักงานประจำร้านแต่ละคน

ร้านนี้เหมาะสำหรับใครก็ตามที่อยากมานั่งพักผ่อนหย่อนใจจิบกาแฟและทานอาหารคนเดียวหรือถ้ามาเป็นกลุ่มเพื่อนหรืออยากมาเจอเพื่อนใหม่ๆที่ร้านก็สามารถนั่งและ hangout ได้ที่โต๊ะรวม ส่วนถ้าใครอยากกินลมชมวิวอยู่ข้างนอก ร้านนี้ก็มีโต๊ะยาวและม้านั่งให้คุณได้นั่งอย่างสะดวกสบาย

ถึงแม้ร้านนี้จะเพิ่งเปิดได้ไม่นาน แต่เรื่องบริการและเมนูอาหารนั้นถือว่ายอดเยี่ยมทีเดียวและเชื่อว่าจะดีขึ้นเรื่อยๆจนเรากลายเป็นลูกค้าประจำแน่ๆ!

WHAT IF is place of many facets, a collaboration between several artists, What IF is styled as a Food and Decor cafe. It is a stylish showroom designed by Studiomixo to showcase handmade artisanal objects from thai creatives while also being a great place for coffee and food. Open from 8 in the morning until 10pm at night you can have a great western style breakfast, then later a bistro style lunch and dinner with excellent wines. It can be found with cluster of shops and cafes looking out onto a green treed space named ECOGREEN31 off Soi 31 on the corner just before Exhibit Cafe.

The Decor consists of items curated by Vudi a founder of the Made by Legacy vintage market. They include Artwork by Pomme Charn such as Cushions, Illustrations, and Crockery. A Vintage Vinyl collection selected by Bangkok Recorder, oldskool wooden rulers and cunning objects of local wood by Carpenter, Chunky Workmens Aprons from “Made By Anan”.

Amazingly the food and coffee is just as brilliant! The Coffees are proper! food excellent! staff very attentive but not over the top and also speak good english. Surprisingly for bangkok they seem to actually know what’s on the menu. We popped in today and found the staff wine tasting in full swing bringing them all up to date on the wine selection and appropriate dish pairing. Its good to see this level of staff educational investment.

There are individual tables for dining and communal table if you want to hang out and make new friends. Outside tables at a long camo upholstered bench in front of the main windows provide a space where you can enjoy the view and local cat.

While it is still in its opening period, as it has barely been open a week and working out the kinks in the service and menu, the place is already amazing and can only get better! We certainly plan to become a Regular!
